Lannan shuts out Mets in Nationals' win
John Lannan threw his first career complete game the last time he faced the Mets, and remembered that start so well he didn't need any video reminders as he prepared to face them again. This time he did even better, throwing his first career shutout, scattering seven hits in a 4-0 win against the anemic New York Mets on Tuesday night. "I've just faced them so much," Lannan said. "I usually do a scouting report where I look at video and stuff, and this scouting report I basically did it from memory.
