Cincinnati Reds @ Miami Marlins

Scheduled Start Time: 7:10 PM ET

Marlins Park

(Sports Network) - Right-hander Mike Leake goes for a second straight Cincinnati mound gem on Wednesday night when the Reds visit the Miami Marlins in the second of three straight meetings at Marlins Park.

Homer Bailey got things started in Tuesday's opener when he pitched a complete game in the Reds' 6-2 win.

Bailey (2-3) struck out 10 and allowed two runs on six hits for the Reds, who have won four straight and eight of their last 10.

'You know, innings are just so big for a starting pitcher,' said Bailey. 'You want to be able to take the game as long as you can, and tonight we were just fortunate.'

Brandon Phillips drove in two runs and Joey Votto went 3-for-4 with an RBI in the victory.

Derek Dietrich and Rob Brantly had an RBI apiece for the Marlins, who saw starter Ricky Nolasco (2-5) give up six runs on seven hits and two walks over five frames.

'It all stems from our offense,' says Marlins manager Mike Redmond. '(Nolasco) knows that he can't give up much and he's trying to be perfect and trying to make too good pitches. I got to tip my hat to Rick. He kept battling.'

Leake, who beat the Marlins in his lone career matchup with them, has lost two of three starts since opening the season with a win and three no-decisions in his first four outings.

The 25-year-old was beaten, 7-2, by Atlanta in his most recent outing on May 8 at home, where he allowed four runs on eight hits in seven innings.

His last victory came five days earlier in Chicago, where he allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings of a 6-5 defeat of the Cubs.

Leake is 1-1 in three road starts this season and 11-11 away from home for his career, as opposed to 19-13 at home.

Miami goes with another Californian, righty Alex Sanabia, who'll try to end a four-start skid.

The 24-year-old was 2-1 with a 4.24 earned run average through his initial three starts of 2013, but has since dropped four in a row while watching the ERA balloon to 4.85 through 39 full innings.

He was a 10-6 loser at Cincinnati in his lone career start against the Reds on April 21, allowing five runs on six hits in six innings while walking five and striking out three.

Sanabia is 1-2 in three home starts this season and 3-5 there in his career.

The Reds won three of four from the Marlins when the teams played in Cincinnati last month.
