Milwaukee Brewers @ Philadelphia Phillies

Scheduled Start Time: 1:35 PM ET

Citizens Bank Park

(Sports Network) - In the third season of a five-year, $120 million contract, Cliff Lee has been one of the few reliable starters this season for the Philadelphia Phillies.

The veteran left-hander aims to win his fifth consecutive decision Sunday when the Phillies try to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Lee has given up just five runs over his last five starts, a span of 39 innings. He's also pitched at least seven frames in each of those contests. On Tuesday at Fenway Park, Lee allowed four hits and a run in eight frames of a 3-1 win.

Lee has compiled an 0-1 mark with a 5.08 ERA in five regular season games against the Brewers.

Mike Fiers makes his third starts and 11th appearance of the season today for the Brewers. The right-hander fanned four in three relief innings of a 6-5 loss to Minnesota in 14 innings Tuesday.

Fiers has dropped both of his starts this season with those coming on April 6 against Arizona and May 25 versus Pittsburgh, posting a 10.00 ERA. He's also spent extensive time in the minors in 2013, at Triple-A Nashville and even at Class-A Brevard County due to a family matter.

His only appearance against Philadelphia came in a start on Aug. 18 last season at Miller Park and he took a 4-3 loss after giving up four runs in five innings.

Yesterday afternoon, Jonathan Lucroy went 2-for-4 with a key late solo homer and two runs scored as the Brewers won, 4-3.

Logan Schafer went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI and Jean Segura added an RBI triple and a run scored for the Brewers, winners in two straight.

Wily Peralta (4-6) gave up two runs on eight hits while striking out six over seven innings to earn the win.

Francisco Rodriguez gave up a leadoff homer to Freddy Galvis, but stranded a pair of runners in a controversial ninth inning to pick up his third save.

Jimmy Rollins, who didn't start because of a foot injury, reached with a pinch-hit single. Phils pitcher Kyle Kendrick replaced Rollins on the base paths and moved to second on Ben Revere's sacrifice bunt. Kendrick was then picked off second by Rodriguez. Replays, however, showed that Segura couldn't handle the throw at second and was not able to control the ball until after Kendrick was back on the base.

'We got a lucky break, and that's the difference in the game,' Segura said. 'We got this guy out, and we're happy we got it.'

Cesar Hernandez followed with a double and Domonic Brown was intentionally walked, but Rodriguez got Michael Martinez to ground out to end the game.

'We had a chance to definitely tie the game up, but we couldn't pull it out,' Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said. 'At the same time, they let us hang around there close enough where we had a chance.'

Tyler Cloyd (1-2) was tagged for three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits over seven innings to absorb the loss.

Philadelphia, which will also host Miami on its current eight-game homestand, won five of its seven matchups with Milwaukee a season ago. The Phillies are 9-5 in the previous 14 meetings against the Brewers.
