Milwaukee Brewers @ Miami Marlins

Scheduled Start Time: 7:10 PM ET

Marlins Park

(Sports Network) - Right-hander Yovani Gallardo takes the mound for the suddenly streaking Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night when they visit Marlins Park for the first of three games with the Miami Marlins.

The 27-year-old is 2-3 in 2013 road starts for the Brewers, who won three of four over the weekend from the Philadelphia Phillies.

Gallardo began the season with three wins in four decisions, but has since struggled, losing five of six verdicts since May 10.

He defeated the Phillies for his last victory on May 31, but was subsequently tagged for five runs in six innings of a 6-1 loss to Oakland on June 5.

He's 3-0 in five career starts against the Marlins with a 1.59 earned run average across 34 innings.

On Sunday in Milwaukee, Carlos Gomez slugged a two-run homer, Jean Segura added two RBI and Kyle Lohse tossed eight strong innings as Milwaukee dismantled Philadelphia, 9-1, in the finale at Miller Park.

Scooter Gennett contributed a two-run triple for the Brewers.

Lohse (2-6) scattered four hits and one run -- a Humberto Quintero homer -- while fanning six without issuing a walk to earn his first win since April 22.

'If he hadn't given up that one run, it would have been a tough decision,' Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said. 'He just had everything working today.'

Meanwhile, in New York on Sunday, Adeiny Hechavarria pushed the go-ahead run across in extras and the Marlins went on to take an 8-4 victory in 10 innings against the Mets at Citi Field.

Hechavarria's RBI single in the 20th inning Saturday helped lift the Marlins to a 2-1 victory and end the longest game of the season. His heroics came a bit earlier Sunday in the finale of this rain-shortened two-game set, and got a little help on the play.

Bobby Parnell (4-3) allowed a pair of singles to start his second inning of work. Hechavarria came to the plate and ripped a grounder toward second, but Daniel Murphy took his eye off the ball while trying to turn a double play and the ball scooted into right field to allow the go-ahead run to score.

Greg Dobbs added a sacrifice fly and Miguel Olivo smashed a two-run homer to break open the contest. Derek Dietrich had two hits -- including a game-tying solo homer in the eighth -- and also scored twice.

Chad Qualls (1-0) picked up the win in Miami's fifth straight victory against New York and eighth in 11 contests this season. The Marlins have just 18 victories on the campaign.

Getting the call for Miami on Monday will be righty Ricky Nolasco, who has not won since May 19. The 30-year-old defeated Arizona with eight innings of one- run ball with 11 strikeouts in that victory, but is since 0-1 in three starts.

Nolasco took a 5-2 defeat against Tampa Bay on May 30, then got a no-decision in his lone June start - giving up two runs on four hits in 6 2/3 innings of a game the Marlins lost, 7-3, at Philadelphia.

Nolasco is 2-2 in seven career starts against Milwaukee.

The Marlins enter the series with a 55-54 lead in the all-time series between the teams. Eight games in 2012 were split, 4-4, while the Brewers swept the Marlins, 7-0, in 2011.
