San Francisco Giants @ Cincinnati Reds

Scheduled Start Time: 7:10 PM ET

Great American Ball Park

(Sports Network) - Tony Cingrani has his work cut out for him on Wednesday when the Cincinnati Reds continue their four-game series with the San Francisco Giants at Great American Ballpark.

Homer Bailey tossed the second no-hitter of his career on Tuesday in the Reds' 3-0 win.

'To do it once is extra special. To do it twice - I don't really have the words for it right now,' Bailey said.

Bailey, who of course threw the final no-hitter of the 2012 season, carried a perfect game into the seventh inning until walking Gregor Blanco, who turned out to be the Giants only base runner of the night.

'He was dealing. He had a dynamite fastball and showed great control,' Reds manager Dusty Baker said. 'What a game. I can't quit smiling. I'm so glad for Homer.'

Blanco also made the final out of the game, as Bailey (5-6) etched his name further in the history books with the first no-no of this campaign. He also joined Jim Maloney and Johnny Vander Meer as the only Reds with two no- hitters.

'To be here in front of this crowd meant a lot,' said Bailey, whose first no- hitter came in Pittsburgh on Sept. 28. 'Any time a ball is put in play in those situations, you get nervous.'

Brandon Phillips provided the offense with a two-run home run for the Reds, who have won the first two games of this series and claimed their third win in four tries overall.

Tim Lincecum (4-9) yielded six hits and three runs while logging eight strikeouts. The righty fell to 0-4 over his last five starts, while the Giants lost for the eighth time in nine games.

Now the Reds turn to Cingrani, who is 3-0 with a 3.42 ERA this season. He was forced into action for the injured Johnny Cueto on Friday in Texas and was not sharp, as he allowed three runs and four hits with six walks in four innings.

San Francisco, meanwhile, will try to give Barry Zito a little more support than it afforded Lincecum on Tuesday, as he tries to win for the first time in four decisions.

Zito, who is 3-5 with a 6.25 ERA lifetime versus the Reds, lost in Colorado on Friday and gave up four runs and 10 hits in 5 1/3 frames to fall to 4-6 to go along with a 4.53 ERA.

Zito's struggles may continue on Wednesday, as he is 0-5 with a 10.41 ERA in six road starts this season.

The Reds won the season series with the Giants, 4-3, in 2012 and downed San Francisco, 5-2, in 2011.
