Arizona Diamondbacks @ New York Mets

Scheduled Start Time: 1:10 PM ET

Citi Field

(Sports Network) - Ian Kennedy can stay unbeaten in his career against the New York Mets on Thursday afternoon when the Arizona Diamondbacks visit Citi Field to wrap up a four-game series.

Kennedy was chosen No. 21 overall by the New York Yankees in 2006 before heading to Arizona in a three-team deal in 2009 that sent Curtis Granderson to New York and Max Scherzer to Detroit, among other players involved.

He was just 1-4 with the Yankees in 14 games from 2007-09, but has since won 48 times with the Diamondbacks in 113 appearances - including 21 victories in 2011 and 15 more in 2012.

He's been a winner in four consecutive starts against the Mets, allowing just 10 runs on 20 hits in 24 1/3 innings while walking 10 batters and striking out 19.

Kennedy was a 12-4 winner over the Chicago Cubs for his most recent victory on June 1, but is 0-1 in four starts since while allowing 17 runs in 20 2/3 innings.

For the Mets, streaking righty Dillon Gee can get back to .500 for the season and exceed his win total from 2012.

Gee won a career-high 13 games in 2011, but tumbled to just six wins in 17 starts in 2012.

He was 2-6 this season after 10 starts, but has since win four times in five decisions across six starts - the most recent coming on June 29, when he allowed a run on six hits of a 5-1 defeat of the Washington Nationals.

Gee is 1-1 in three lifetime meetings with the Diamondbacks.

On Wednesday, Cody Ross cracked a three-run homer and the D'backs roughed up Matt Harvey to take a 5-3 victory.

Arizona had dropped the first two of this four-game set and eight of nine overall coming into Wednesday's affair, but were able to pound out five runs against Harvey (7-2) over the sixth and seventh frames to mount a sustainable lead on a rainy night at Citi Field.

Eric Chavez and Miguel Montero each had two hits and an RBI, while Randall Delgado (1-2) picked up his first win in an Arizona uniform with nine strikeouts over seven innings of two-run ball.

By picking up the victory, Delgado also ended a franchise record-tying streak of 24 straight games in which a D'backs starter failed to pick up a win. Arizona's starters went 0-11 over the stretch.

It was the most runs Harvey has allowed in a start all season, with the right- handed hurler serving up nine hits and yielding three walks over six-plus frames. He did strike out nine batters.

David Wright, Josh Satin and Daniel Murphy each homered to account for New York's offense.

The start of the contest was impacted by a 1 hour, 51-minute rain delay.

The Mets won four of seven versus the Diamondbacks last season.
