Los Angeles Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks

Scheduled Start Time: 9:40 PM ET

Chase Field

(Sports Network) - Ricky Nolasco makes his Los Angeles Dodgers debut on Tuesday, as they continue a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

After being offered to numerous clubs, Nolasco was shipped to the Dodgers on Saturday in exchange for three minor league pitchers. A California native, Nolasco had been 5-8 with the Marlins with a 3.85 ERA.

'I'm definitely excited. It's L.A., the team that I grew up going to the games as a kid,' said Nolasco. 'It's kind of surreal now, until I'm actually there. It will take time to sink in, but I'm definitely excited.'

Nolasco beat the Diamondbacks back on May 19 and is 6-2 in nine starts against them with a 4.14 ERA.

He'll be trying to help the Dodgers get even closer in the National League West standings after Zack Greinke pitched them to a 6-1 win in Monday's opener.

Greinke (7-2) yielded two hits and had seven strikeouts over seven shutout innings to win his fourth straight start and beat Arizona for the first time in his career (1-3). He also singled three times and scored once to boost the Dodgers to their seventh win in nine games.

'I just wanted to win a little more. That's also because they're in first place,' Greinke said. 'It's a big game because of that.'

Hanley Ramirez went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored and extended his career-high hitting streak to 19 games, as the Dodgers moved within 3 1/2 games of the Diamondbacks for the division lead.

Arizona, which had a five-game winning streak broken, managed only four hits, two coming from Paul Goldschmidt.

Randall Delgado (1-3) allowed 11 hits and three runs over six innings.

'He didn't throw the ball bad at all,' Arizona manager Kirk Gibson said. 'He had everything working.'

Getting the call for Arizona on Tuesday will be righty Ian Kennedy, who was at the center of the wild brawl between the Diamondbacks and Dodgers nearly a month ago.

Kennedy hit Yasiel Puig with a pitch back on that June 11 contest, then later plunked Greinke with another high pitch after both teams had been warned. He received a 10-game suspension for his actions.

'There are a lot of people here today, I know it's getting a lot of attention, but I'm not expecting a whole lot other than them coming out hard to play and so are we,' Kennedy said before Monday's opener.

Kennedy, who is 3-4 with a 5.16 ERA, did not get a decision his last time out against the New York Mets, as he surrendered two runs and six hits in seven innings.

In 10 starts against the Dodgers Kennedy has posted a 5-3 mark to go along with a 3.77 ERA.

The Diamondbacks have won seven of 10 from the Dodgers this season.
