Miami Marlins @ Milwaukee Brewers

Scheduled Start Time: 7:10 PM ET

Miller Park

(Sports Network) - Milwaukee Brewers righty Yovani Gallardo tries to keep his perfect record against the Miami Marlins intact when the teams resume their three-game series Saturday at Miller Park.

Gallardo has fashioned a 4-0 record with a 1.29 ERA in six games against the Marlins. That includes throwing eight shutout frames in a 6-1 victory on June 10 at Marlins Park.

He's coming off a no-decision at Arizona on July 11. Prior to that, Gallardo stopped a personal two-game skid with a victory over the New York Mets on July 6.

While Gallardo has never lost to the Marlins, tonight's Miami starter, Nathan Eovaldi, has yet to beat the Brewers. The righty has dropped all three of his starts versus Milwaukee, but has pitched to a 3.00 ERA.

Eovaldi, who is 2-0 in five starts this season, has thrown at least six innings in eight consecutive starts, dating back to Sept. 18, 2012 against Atlanta. Since that time, he has notched a 2-1 record with a 2.66 ERA, and held opponents to a .189 batting average.

Most recently, Eovaldi beat Washington on July 12 by giving up three hits and three runs in six frames.

Carlos Gomez and Juan Francisco each homered to back a strong performance from Kyle Lohse, and the Brewers earned a 2-0 victory last night.

The Brewers had only five hits, but two of them reached the seats to provide Lohse (6-7) with all the support he would need.

The right-hander spun six scoreless innings of five-hit ball while striking out five. John Axford, Jim Henderson and Francisco Rodriguez each fired a scoreless frame as well, with the latter picking up his 10th save.

'It's always nice to have a two-run lead, especially when you go into the late innings,' said Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke.

Ryan Braun returned to the Milwaukee lineup after playing in just one of his team's last 32 games. However, he went 0-for-3 and was replaced in left field to start the seventh inning.

Jacob Turner (3-2) surrendered both homers and allowed five hits and four walks over five innings for the Marlins, who ended the first half by winning 19 of their last 33 games. Adeiny Hechavarria went 3-for-3 in the setback.

'Very happy once again with the way we pitched,' said Miami manager Mike Redmond. 'Turner had to grind, but at the end of the day he did a nice job. They got the big hits and we didn't.'

Milwaukee won two of three games when they most recently played at Marlins Park in June.
