Miami Marlins @ Colorado Rockies

Scheduled Start Time: 8:40 PM ET

Coors Field

(Sports Network) - Jhoulys Chacin has just one loss in his last 11 starts.

The Colorado right-hander hopes that transfers over to a win Tuesday night when the Rockies resumes their four-game series against the Miami Marlins.

Chacin has six victories during his amazing stretch and his last home loss came May 16 to the Giants. The problem for Chacin has been facing the Marlins, a team he's yet to beat in three career decisions and has a 9.00 ERA.

Since June 1st, Chacin is 6-1 with a 3.12 ERA. He has a perfect record this year against teams from the NL East, going 3-0 with a 1.74 ERA.

Jose Fernandez, who hasn't given up more than three earned runs in any of his last eight starts, gets the ball tonight for the Marlins. The right-hander, who turns 21 on the final day of this month, is coming off a no-decision against Washington on July 13. In that game, he gave up four hits and a run over six frames.

This will be his first career appearance against the Rockies. Fernandez is 2-5 in nine road starts. It'll also mark his first appearance since the All-Star Game, when he fanned a pair in a scoreless inning.

Fernandez has held opponents to a .196 average, which is fourth-best in the National League.

Last night, Tom Koehler worked seven innings of one-run ball and the Marlins finally got on the board to rebound from a weekend of futility with a 3-1 win.

The Marlins were held scoreless while succumbing to a three-game sweep against the Milwaukee Brewers, and entered play Monday without scoring in a run in 37 consecutive innings, but ended that streak three batters into the game.

'Anytime you go as many innings as we have without scoring, everybody's feeling the pressure,' said Marlins manager Mike Redmond.

Giancarlo Stanton's first post All-Star break hit went for a double into the center field gap, and later came in to score on a sac fly from Placido Polanco to give the Marlins a 2-0 lead in the first inning.

Koehler (2-5) made the lead stand from there, scattering eight hits while walking none and striking out seven. The Marlins have won in four of his last six outings.

Ed Lucas, who went 2-for-4, added on to the advantage in the third with a leadoff homer to make it 3-0. The Rockies got on the board with Troy Tulowitzki's blast in the fourth, but ended the inning by leaving a man stranded at third.

Drew Pomeranz (0-3) was recalled from Double-A Tulsa and continued to have issues with his command for Colorado. He was charged with all three runs while walking four in 4 1/3 innings of work.

'We got to do what we can to get him right,' said Colorado manager Walt Weiss about Pomeranz. 'He struggled most of the night, particularly early.'

The Marlins are 27-45 all-time at Coors Field and have not had a winning season in Denver since 2009 (2-1).
