Milwaukee Brewers @ Chicago Cubs

Scheduled Start Time: 8:05 PM ET

Wrigley Field

(Sports Network) - Young Dominican Wily Peralta can return to his winning ways and close out a sweep on Wednesday night, when the Milwaukee Brewers visit Wrigley Field for the finale of a four-game series with the Chicago Cubs.

Peralta, who turned 24 in May, had won two straight decisions and was unbeaten in four starts for the Brewers before dropping an 8-3 decision at Colorado on July 26.

He lasted just 3 2/3 innings in the loss and was nicked for eight runs on seven hits and three walks - swelling his earned run average from 4.30 to 4.54.

The last loss prior to the four-game unbeaten stretch was a 7-2 loss to the Cubs, who scored seven runs on eight hits against Peralta in five innings.

In three career starts against Chicago, he is 1-1 with a 3.44 ERA.

For the Cubs, righty Edwin Jackson faces the Brewers for the 11th time in his 225th major-league start.

He's won three of eight decisions in those 10 matchups while posting a 3.96 ERA and striking out 42 batters in 63 2/3 innings.

The 29-year-old won three straight starts between June 30 and July 11 against Seattle, Pittsburgh and St. Louis, but dropped a 4-3 verdict at Colorado and got a no-decision at San Francisco in his last two outings on July 21 and 26.

He's 3-5 in nine starts this season at Wrigley.

On Tuesday, Milwaukee closer Jim Henderson escaped a ninth-inning threat to pick up his 13th save and finish off a 6-5 win in the opener of a doubleheader.

Jean Segura capped a four-run, come-from-behind seventh inning with a double to help the Brewers overcome the Cubs' five-run fifth.

In the second game, Jeff Bianchi hit a two-run single in the ninth inning to help Milwaukee sweep the twinbill with a 3-2 win.

The Brewers entered the week with a slim 123-120 lead in the all-time series between the teams and had won five of the initial eight games played in 2013 - including four straight between April 19 and June 25.
