News: Nicasio scattered three hits over six innings in Sunday's 5-0 win over the World Series champion Giants. Impact: Nicasio said that he used a lot of breaking balls, and it's a recipe for fantasy success if he can continue to keep hitters off balance.(STATS, 2:12pm)

News: Nicasio threw six scoreless innings Sunday and improved to 4-1. He gave up just three hits and struck out five. Impact: This was a nice bounce-back game for him after getting knocked around by the Cubs in his previous start. Nicasio, who was removed after throwing just 89 pitches, will look to continue pitching well in a rematch with the Giants in his next start.(RotoWire, )

News: Nicasio will start Sunday's game against the Giants. Impact: Nicasio was originally scheduled to start Saturday, but he will switch starts with Tyler Chatwood, who will be on the mound instead Saturday.(RotoWire, )

News: Nicasio struck out just two batters and gave up five runs over six innings in Monday's 9-1 loss to the Cubs. Impact: Nicasio recorded an out in the sixth inning for just the second time this season, but he also gave up a season-high five runs (all in the first two innings) and picked up his first loss of the year. Between the pitch limit -- he still hasn't topped 100 in a game -- and ineffectiveness, he should probably be left on the waiver wire in most leagues. Nicasio now owns a 5.13 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 27:17 K:BB ratio through 40.1 innings. His next start is scheduled for Saturday against the Giants, and unfortunately for fantasy owners, he will be home at Coors Field.(RotoWire, )

News: Nicasio went five innings Wednesday, giving up two runs on two hits while striking out five in the loss to the Yankees. Impact: Nicasio pitched well outside of a two-run homer at the hands of Vernon Wells. Pitch count was an issue, as he needed 91 pitches to get through just five innings. Nicasio has only exceeded five innings once this season, but he has still managed to pick up three wins. He gets a favorable matchup against the Cubs next Monday.(RotoWire, )
