Impact: De La Rosa does not have a timetable to return, but he's at least showing clear signs of progress, advancing his rehab to the next stage. Impact: De La Rosa attempted to come back from a strained elbow earlier this month but was put back on the disabled list, after struggling with his mechanics and velocity in an outing against the Mets. News: Updating a previous report, De La Rosa was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday and placed on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder irritation, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. Impact: There is no word yet on how De La Rosa strained his shoulder, but it didn't take a specialist to see that something was wrong with him in his outing against the Mets on Saturday, as his velocity was down, and he was consistently falling behind hitters. Having just returned from a forearm strain that he incurred in early March, the 31-year-old will continue to throw, which may be seen as a positive sign, but he has no timetable for return as his arm troubles continue to mount.(RotoWire, )

News: De La Rosa (undisclosed) was recalled by the Angels on Tuesday and placed on the DL, Mike DiGiovanna of the L.A. Times reports. Impact: The undisclosed injury is not believed to be serious, and he was sent to Arizona to begin rehabbing it. If De La Rosa can overcome his recent rush of injuries, he could be second in line for the closer spot in the Halo's pen, but it would be nice to see him succeed on the mound before making a speculative add.(RotoWire, )

Impact: De La Rosa was sent to Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday after having trouble with his velocity in his first outing off the disabled list against the Mets on Saturday. News: De La Rosa was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday. Impact: De La Rosa simply didn't look right Saturday in his first appearance since returning from a forearm strain, as his velocity was down and he was consistently falling behind hitters in the outing. He will look to build up his arm strength at Salt Lake for the time being.(RotoWire, )

News: De La Rosa pitched just 0.1 innings in an outing against the Mets on Saturday, allowing two runs on one hit and a walk. Impact: De La Rosa's first outing this season was a bit troubling, as he consistently fell behind hitters and was sitting at 88-90 mph, after averaging 94.6 mph with his fastball in 2013, according to Fangraphs.com. It may be that De La Rosa, who pitched in three rehab outings after straining his forearm in early March, simply needs to build up arm strength, but the reduced velocity is certainly not encouraging for a bullpen that has already had its share of problems this season.(RotoWire, )

Impact: After enduring no setbacks during his rehab outing at High-A Inland Empire on Wednesday, De La Rosa will slot back into the Anaheim bullpen. He figures to serve as one of the top setup options to Ernesto Frieri, after posting a 2.86 ERA and 65:28 K:BB ratio over 72.1 innings last season. Nick Maronde was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.(RotoWire, )

News: De La Rosa (forearm) will pitch in a game for High-A Inland Empire on Wednesday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports. Impact: The transfer to High-A will be De La Rosa's final move before he is activated Friday against the Mets.
