News: Colabello was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs in Friday's win over Kansas City. Impact: Colabello has certainly cooled off but his .513 slugging percentage through 10 games still makes him pretty appealing.(STATS, 5:20pm)

News: Colabello drove in four runs to raise his AL-leading total to 11 as the Minnesota Twins outslugged the Cleveland Indians 10-7 on Sunday to take two of three games in the series. Impact: Colabello, who spent 2005 to 2011 paying his dues in the Canadian-American Association before signing with the Twins in 2012, broke a 6-6 tie with a three-run double in the sixth inning off Blake Wood. The 30-year-old Colabello also had an RBI single in the fourth as the Twins concluded a season-opening road trip before playing their home opener Monday. "It's awesome," Colabello said.(STATS, 3:15pm)

News: Colabello will start in right field Monday against the A's, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Impact: Colabello has been the primary DH for the Twins in the early part of the season, but he'll get his first reps in the outfield Monday. If he can prove his defensive capabilities to go along with his hot bat, Colabello could become a fixture in this Twins lineup. He already has 11 RBI in just 24 plate appearances this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Colabello was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Twins loss to Cleveland on Friday afternoon. Impact: Following his huge six-RBI outburst on Thursday, he was back in the lineup hitting in the cleanup spot and DHing for this one. He homered in the first inning but was quiet thereafter - he and the rest of the Twins hitters - but he has a hot bat right now and if he can keep it going, he will continue to steal at-bats from Jason Kubel.(RotoWire, )

News: Colabello was 2 for 5 with two doubles and a career-high six RBIs in Thursday's win over the White Sox. Impact: Colabello, who is 5 for 10 through his first three games, could be a nice fantasy sleeper.(STATS, 1:49pm)
Fri. Apr 4, 2014
News: Colabello is in Friday's starting lineup at DH and batting cleanup, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Impact: Colabello started against two lefties in his first two games, but he's getting a start against a righty in Friday's game. After driving in six runs Thursday, it looks like his fast start to the season (5-for-10) could have him overtake Jason Kubel as the primary DH.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Apr 3, 2014
News: Colabello doubled twice and drove in six runs during Thursday's 10-9 win against the White Sox. Impact: Colabello, who hit cleanup, has performed well early on, playing DH and first base. Manager Ron Gardenhire has claimed that Colabello and Jason Kubel aren't in a platoon at DH, but if Colabello continues to hit, he should start against lefties at a minimum.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Apr 3, 2014
News: Colabello is starting at first base and hitting cleanup in Thursday's lineup against lefty Jose Quintana. Impact: While manager Ron Gardenhire has said that DH isn't a platoon between Jason Kubel and Colabello as he'll mix and match starters, it's been a strict platoon in the team's first three games (although Kubel played left field Wednesday with Josh Willingham moving to DH; and Mauer moves to DH on Thursday).(RotoWire, )
Wed. Apr 2, 2014
News: Jason Kubel is starting in left field and hitting fourth in the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox. Josh Willingham is at DH with Colabello on the bench. Impact: Colabello started the first game of the season at DH against a lefty, but manager Ron Gardenhire said it was more of a spot start than a platoon at DH with Kubel as he'll mix and match at the position. Still, Colabello could work his way into a platoon if he starts hot and even overtake Kubel for playing time if Kubel struggles.(RotoWire, )
