News: Weaver gave up a run on three hits in six innings pitched to pick up a win against the Tigers on Friday. Impact: Weaver bounced back nicely after back-to-back rough outings, as he was able to work around three walks to lower his ERA from 5.79 to 4.74. Weaver seemed to be in control on this night, as the 31-year-old did not allow a home run in the contest after giving up five dingers in his last two outings. He will look to continue to keep the ball in the yard in his next start against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday.(RotoWire, )

News: Weaver allowed four runs (including a home run) on three hits, while striking out five in 6.2 innings pitched, to pick up a no-decision Saturday against the Mets. Impact: Weaver wasn't exactly hammered in this outing Saturday, but four walks and a homer contributed to four earned runs on his ledger. He's now given up five home runs in his last two outings and is the owner of a 5.79 ERA this season. There are still plenty of games to play, but early returns seem to indicate that Weaver won't be able to get by with an average fastball velocity, which had not broken 86 mph this season coming into Saturday's start (85.9), according to Fangraphs.com.(RotoWire, )
