| News: Strasburg held the Giants to one run across seven innings in the Nationals' 4-2 loss at San Francisco on Tuesday. | Impact: Strasburg didn't receive a decision so he remains just 2-5 despite an impressive 2.66 ERA.(STATS, 3:42pm) |

| News: Strasburg settled down after a scary first inning to throw seven strong innings Tuesday, giving up just one run on five hits and three walks while striking out seven. | Impact: He left the game with a 2-1 lead, but once again came away without a 'W' after Rafael Soriano blew the save in the ninth. Strasburg's 2.66 ERA and 1.12 WHIP on the season are nothing to sneeze at, but he's only got two wins and his strikeout rate is down from 2012 while his walk rate is up. Owners who spent a high draft pick on him are still hoping he finds another gear as the season progresses.(RotoWire, ) |

| News: Strasburg pitched a career-high eight innings in his hometown Thursday night, leading the Washington Nationals to a 6-2 victory against San Diego. | Impact: Strasburg's 54th big league start was his first professional appearance at Petco Park. The big right-hander went to high school in suburban Santee and pitched for Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn at San Diego State before the Nationals took him with the first overall pick in the 2009 amateur draft. He pitched twice at Petco Park for SDSU. The win was Strasburg's first since the season opener April 1.(STATS, 4:37pm) |

| News: Strasburg pitched a career-high eight innings to earn the win Thursday at San Diego. He allowed two runs -- one earned -- and three hits with four strikeouts. | Impact: Strasburg was in control throughout, although he needed 117 pitches to get through eight frames. It was just the second win of the season for Strasburg, who isn't striking out as many batters (55 in 57.1 innings) after fanning nearly 200 in only 159.1 innings last year.(RotoWire, ) |

| News: Dominant early, Stephen Strasburg fell apart after one of Ryan Zimmerman's two errors and wound up dropping his fifth consecutive decision, an 8-2 loss Saturday to the Chicago Cubs. | Impact: Strasburg (1-5, 3.10 ERA) set down Chicago's first 11 hitters, six via strikeout. But with two outs in the fifth, third baseman Zimmerman's off-target throw put a runner on. Turned out to be Strasburg's last inning, making for his shortest outing of 2013. The NL All-Star's only win this season came April 1 on opening day against the lowly Miami Marlins, but he entered Saturday with a 3.45 ERA and was averaging 6 1-3 innings per start.(STATS, 1:46pm) |

| News: Strasburg cruised through the first four innings Saturday, but after a Ryan Zimmerman throwing error in the fifth, he unraveled. It took Strasburg 42 pitches to get out of the fifth inning, and he finished the game giving up four runs (none earned), five hits, and two walks to go with seven strikeouts. | Impact: Strasburg's ERA and WHIP sit at 3.10 and 1.18, respectively, but his record is a surprising 1-5 through eight starts. The Nats are trying to keep Strasburg and Wilson Ramos working as a battery to build their rapport since the two have posted a 1.69 ERA and 0.813 WHIP through 11 career starts together. Based on his track record, there's no reason to panic with Strasburg. Just stand strong until he rights the ship.(RotoWire, ) |

| News: Strasburg is building confidence with Wilson Ramos behind the plate, the Washington Post reports. In three starts together this year, Strasburg has a 1.80 ERA over 20 innings with 18 strikeouts and just two walks. | Impact: The thought of working specifically with one catcher hasn't been an option for Strasburg. However, the numbers don't lie. In college, Strasburg threw to one guy and one guy only. Since being called up, he has thrown to seven different catchers in 52 starts. Over his career, in 11 total starts with Wilson Ramos behind the plate, he has a 1.69 ERA with 57 strikeouts and a 0.813 WHIP. Compare that to a 4.78 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with Kurt Suzuki. It looks promising for Strasburg, as long as Ramos can stay healthy and avoid any additional trips to the DL. He will look to build on the first three starts with Ramos, as he takes on the Cubs on Saturday afternoon.(RotoWire, ) |
