News: Francisco has been called up from Triple-A Buffalo, reports Sportsnet's Shi Davidi. Impact: With Adam Lind (back) now officially on the DL, Francisco will join the Blue Jays' roster to provide depth at the corner infield positions as well as possibly see time in the lineup at DH. Spending time with both the Braves and Brewers in 2013, Francisco slugged .422 with 18 homers. He could be a useful source of power in AL-only formats over the next couple of weeks.(RotoWire, )

News: Francisco, who was pulled from Friday's game at Triple-A Buffalo, will likely have his contract selected with Adam Lind (back) expected to land on the DL, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports. Impact: Entering action Friday, Francisco had slashed .349/.429/.581 with five extra-base hits (including two homers), 11 RBI, and nine runs scored in 43 at-bats. While he may not act as the regular designated hitter, he should garner enough at-bats between DH and first base to establish some relevance during Lind's absence.(RotoWire, )
