News: Carp had two hits, a walk and scored a run in Friday night's loss to Baltimore. Impact: Carp continues to hit in a small role, but his roster spot is in jeopardy when Shane Victorino (hamstring) gets healthy enough to be activated from the disabled list. It would appear either Carp or Daniel Nava (hitting just .136) is the likely casualty. Victorino is expected to begin a rehab assignment Saturday and could be ready to roll by mid-to-late next week.(RotoWire, )

News: Though Carp (lower back) was scratched from the starting lineup Saturday night, he entered the game in the 10th inning. Impact: On a night where the Red Sox had other injuries, Carp's injury at least allowed him to play. It did cost him another start against a right-handed starter, something he's getting a lot of with Shane Victorino out.(RotoWire, )
