Impact: He's likely to return to Triple-A after Thursday's doubleheader, but a strong showing could mean he'll be called up against soon. News: Nunez went 2-for-6 with a home run in a doubleheader Saturday for Triple-A Rochester. Impact: He's played shortstop and third base in his first three games for Rochester. If he gets hot at the plate, the Twins may give him a shot in the majors to replace a slumping Pedro Florimon. However, putting Nunez in at shortstop for the Twins may be an even larger drop-off on defense.(RotoWire, )

News: Nunez's time with the New York Yankees ended after a decade when the infielder was traded to the Minnesota Twins for left-hander Miguel Sulbaran. The deal was announced Monday. The Twins assigned Nunez to Triple-A Rochester. Impact: Signed by the Yankees in 2004, Nunez came up to the major leagues in 2010 and was seen as a possible successor to Derek Jeter at shortstop. But he struggled defensively, was beaten out by Yangervis Solarte during spring training for a backup infield job and was designated for assignment last week. The 26-year-old Nunez hit .267 in 270 games for the Yankees with 10 homers and 76 RBIs.(STATS, 6:09pm)

News: Nunez was acquired by the Twins on Monday in exchange for minor league pitcher Miguel Sulbaran, LaVelle Neal of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Impact: Exiled from the Yankees' 40-man roster after losing out to Yangervis Solarte for a utility infield gig in spring training, Nunez will try to restore some value with a new organization. He'll be assigned to Triple-A Rochester upon joining the Twins, but he could eventually land a bench gig with the big club if he performs well in the minors.(RotoWire, )
