Matt, Great American Ballpark is next best thing to Coors Field....Reds could use a solid right handed bat in left field and once Votto is back...you could be sandwiched in between Votto and Bruce! Can you say playoffs?

Thank you for what you did during the five years in Colorado though

Dear Matt- It was really wrong treating the Rockies fans in colorado the way you did! It was not nice how you and your agent BORAS LEFT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COME BACK TO THE COLORADO ROCKIES!

Hello Matt, you do not belong with this team. You should have excepted that 4 year deal and should have stayed with Colorado. Big mistake leaving Colorado Matt.

The Rox offered him 4-years at $70 mil plus incentives. Matt and his agent Boras decided it wasn't good enough.

Frankly, I don't think Matt's bat would've helped in those 1 run losses.

Matt didn't want tradition, he wanted money. But the way he's playing now, he won't get it. He's got as many home runs as Todd Helton has. To be honest, I think Matt's being as exposed as most other hitters do when they leave Colorado. The only guys, in my mind, who ever did as decent in Denver as they did on the road were Helton, Walker, and Galaragga.

Holliday had best have a monster second half, or that big pay day he's dreaming of won't materialize, and he'll just be another victim of the Coors Field effect. get him "out in the wild" and he's exposed for what he is, a good glove, average arm with middle of the road hitting numbers, instead of the big power hitter Oakland was hoping they were getting.

Holliday said in an interview that he wanted to play for a team with some tradition. Translation: the Rockies don't.
The drippy crap that hotbricks2 tried to float to you was pathetic.
Thx Matt, my b***. The Rockies owners and the general mgr need their heads examined for not doing something to keep him.
The Rockies have lost 8 out of 9 of their one run games this year. I think Matty would have had something to say about those games.
I see Holliday playing in the Cardinal's organization for years to come, wow, can you imagine Pujols batting behind Holliday?

This is the last year of his current contract. He is going to get big money on the free agent market and Colorado knew they didn't have enough to re-sign him. Happens all the time.

Has anybody heard just why Holliday left the Rockies? Was it for more money then the Rockies would pay??Doesn't make sense to me not to keep him a Rockie--who lets their best players walk???

Matt Holiday paid his dues with the Rockies and we all love what he did for us, he will be missed. The Rockies have no problems with hitter's we have the best in baseball. Matt was a bonus but we wish him all the best and he will be missed but he a very young and must do what is best for him and his family. God Bless him and his family even the A.s Fans. Thanks Matt

what do you mean they blew their chance they had an amazing year last year and they aren't gettin rid of holliday thats just rumor they are probably getting rid of garett atkins and last i checked ian stuart had the best batting average since the allstar break he's been on a tear lately

who gives a **** about the rockies...they blew their chance last year and now this offseason theyre gonna unload their team and build around an unproven player in I. Stewart...Holliday should have been in Philly this year

you guys oviously dont know what you are talking about we have a ton of talent compared to who ever the **** your team is. We just arent playing to our ability. troy Tulowitzski should have been rockie of the year. Holliday should have been mvp. willy tavares is leading the leauge in steals, garret atkins has one of the better batting averages in the nl, todd helton is an amazingly dependable 1st baseman that almost never makes an error, aaron cook is 2nd in the nl in wins, taylor buckholz has a VERY low ERA. so think before you spew **** from your mouth...****!
