I keep noticing that there has often been 12MPH wind blowing out to right according to reports. This is Wrigley Field material.

Some weak hitter for Minnessota just golfed one almost one-handed the other day that I couldn't believe went out - barely.

It will be interesting to see whether the effect continues when the hot weather comes in, and when the old stadium is demolished mid-Summer, opening up a windtunnel towards left - perhaps the two could cancel each otehr out.

For me, its sweet. A good pitcher won't be affected win-wise if he has a good team behind him. And offense puts fannies in the seats better than anyone.

I hope the Yankee donnybrook of HRS to right is a permanent ficture.

This is NOT a problem. Its a Godsend given the bad publicity about stadium prices.

gfordinLibertyMo:

Damon is hitting.312 not .227. The Yankees do not have the best record in the league. They are in 3rd in the division. Don't post unless you know what you are talking about.

...oh and Johnny, you are no George Brett. Remember those TV ads that made it look like you were the second coming of Number 5? With a batting average of .227, you are lower than average.

The Yanks have the best record of wins vs losses this may be true. But to use the word "team" when talkig about them is a stretch of the word. While teamwork does help win games, the yanks field 9 outstanding individuals on the field. Talent wins games-but there is no team there. Teams are built on loyalty and heart. Yanks have agents and big bank accounts-and if their brains match the ability-their bankers robbed them blind just like th bankers robbed everyone else.

Johnny Damon was a icon, a spark, the heart and soul of the lineup.....now, he's kind of like, well....the Avril Lavigne of MLB.

Johnny just loves to play baseball and for 2008 he has been one of the few Yankees who played as a team person.
Actually he has fully replaced Jeter as the spark of the team.

sr ham, what do you have (7 titles) We are and always will be the best team ever. Deal with it. And Damon is plying better now then he did for your Sox Win 3 titles in a row and then talk your ****, Mattaer of fact win 12 division titles in a row. We might not be the best this year but the Sox are not any better. Even if they do make the playoffs, they will get beat in the first round. Then what are you going to b i t c h about. You Sox fans are all the same. You win a couple tiles and now your the best. Well Learn the game. You sound lie an idiot. Just like the rest of you Boston Fans. When you do win you destroy your city. I know you do not win much but come on GROW UP!!!!!!!

He was good on the sox, and when he went to the Yanks, he made their team worse which i didn't think possible.
