News: Sanchez allowed only an unearned run in seven innings to remain unbeaten in 19 starts against Washington, and the Miami Marlins beat the Nationals 3-1 Tuesday night to break the franchise record for victories in a month. Impact: Sanchez (3-3, 2.57 ERA), plagued by poor run support all season, this time received enough to snap a streak of losses in three consecutive starts. He improved to 8-0 against Washington with a 1.97 ERA.(STATS, 3:56pm)

News: Sanchez allowed one run (unearned) on three hits, walking one and striking out five over seven innings as Miami topped the Nationals, 3-1 on Tuesday night. Impact: He struggled in his last outing, allowing five runs in just 5.1 innings, but bounced back nicely in this one to even his record at 3-3 on the year. He'll carry a solid 2.56 ERA into his next start at home against Atlanta.(RotoWire, )

News: Sanchez had one of his worst outings of the season Thursday, surrendering five runs and seven hits over just 5.1 innings. He walked a pair and struck out seven. Impact: Sanchez was cruising early, giving up just one run with six strikeouts through the first five innings. Sanchez fell apart in the sixth frame, however, as he allowed two extra-base hits and uncorked a couple of wild pitches. A botched run down at third base didn't help his cause either. It was a rare shaky performance for Sanchez, who had recorded a quality start in each of his previous eight outings.(RotoWire, )

News: Sanchez pitched seven strong innings Saturday, yielding only two runs on seven hits and two walks. However, he failed to get the win, as the Marlins provided him with zero run support. Impact: Sanchez's 2.32 ERA should have pundits clamoring for an All-Star nod. However, with only two wins on the season, Sanchez can't be considered among the elite fantasy pitchers at this point. That could change if stars like Jose Reyes and Hanley Ramirez can break out of their offensive doldrums.(RotoWire, )
