News: Recker is likely to start seeing more starts behind the dish, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. The Mets' backup catcher homered and doubled in the Mets' game against the D-Backs on Wednesday. Impact: He is now batting .286 with two home runs in just 14 at-bats this season, while Travis d'Arnaud is hitting .154 with one home run as the starter. We wouldn't expect the Mets to act hastily in this matter, as d'Arnaud is still considered a top prospect with excellent pedigree, but it's not uncommon for young catchers to struggle for a couple seasons offensively, so Recker could carve out a nice time share if he continues to swing a hot bat.(RotoWire, )

News: Recker led off the 13th inning with a home run against rookie Matt Shoemaker and also had a two-run single, leading the New York Mets to a 7-6 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday night. Impact: The two hits are Recker's first in his nine at-bats this season.(STATS, 3:40pm)

News: Recker made the most of his start Saturday, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and blasting what proved to be the game-winning home run off of Matt Shoemaker in the 13th inning. Impact: Though Recker will cede most of the starts to Travis d'Arnaud, he has shown he can provide occasional power when he does play.(RotoWire, )
