News: The Tampa Bay Rays have optioned left-hander Jeff Beliveau to Triple-A Durham and recalled right-hander Brad Boxberger from their top minor league club. The moves were announced Monday before the Rays faced the Orioles. Impact: Obtained during the offseason in a January trade with San Diego, Boxberger had a 1.29 ERA in six spring training games with Tampa Bay. He was 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA in four games with Durham. News: The Rays recalled Boxberger from Triple-A Durham on Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Impact: Boxberger was called up to take the roster spot of starting pitcher Alex Cobb (oblique), but he will pitch out of the bullpen for the Rays.
