News: Hand will officially be removed from the starting rotation, moving to the bullpen, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports. Impact: Most owners had probably already parted ways with Hand, as he's posted a 6.35 ERA through two starts. Kevin Slowey will join the starting rotation for the time being, getting the start Sunday against the Mariners.(RotoWire, )

News: Hand's spot in the rotation could be at risk following an abysmal 3.1 inning performance Monday, the Miami Herald reports. Impact: It's not yet clear what the Marlins plan to do for Sunday's start versus the Mariners. Hand was dominate while making a bid for the fifth starter role this spring, but has struggled in his two regular season starts, allowing eight earned runs in just 6.1 innings. Long reliever Kevin Slowey would appear to be the next man up, but the Marlins could opt to reach into the minors or use Thursday's off day to skip that spot entirely if they decide that they have seen enough of Hand.(RotoWire, )

News: Hand was not at his best Monday, allowing five runs in three innings in a loss. Impact: Hand has now made two starts and allowed eight runs in 6.1 innings. If the lefty remains in the rotation for another turn, he'll see the Mariners this weekend.(RotoWire, )

News: Hand is expected to stay in the Marlins' rotation and should make his next start against the Nationals on Monday, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports. Impact: Hand only lasted 3.1 innings during Wednesday's start, but he'll remain in the rotation out of necessity for the time being, as Jacob Turner (shoulder) was placed on the disabled list Wednesday. Kevin Slowey, who relieved Hand on Wednesday, would have been the other option for the Marlins, but it appears as though they'll stick with Hand, at least for the next time through the rotation.(RotoWire, )

News: Hand lasted just 3.1 innings in a spot start Wednesday, giving up three runs on four hits in a no-decision against the Nationals. Impact: Given the nod with Jacob Turner (shoulder) landing on the DL, Hand was unable to show the dominance that he put on display frequently while competing for a starting job in the rotation this spring. He did strike out four against two walks, but was unraveled by a Bryce Harper three-run home run in the fourth. The Marlins will need to decide whether to give Hand or veteran Kevin Slowey -- who struggled in relief of Hand on Wednesday -- Turner's next start, which will come early next versus the Nationals.(RotoWire, )

News: Hand will get the spot start Wednesday, with Jacob Turner getting scratched due to a strained shoulder, the Palm Beach Post's Joe Capozzi reports. Impact: Hand has been pitching in long-relief so far this season, and it's not clear if he'll be able to pitch deep into the game. But everything considered, he's probably not the best option in most formats on the road against the Nationals.(RotoWire, )

News: Hand threw three scoreless innings of relief to pick up the save in Friday's victory over the Padres. Impact: Though this was a solid outing from Hand, do not be fooled by the save as it could well be the only one he records all season. The young southpaw is filling a long-relief role for the Marlins and is far removed from the closer mix.(RotoWire, )
