News: The Phillies want Lincoln to work on his two-seam fastball at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, CSNPhilly.com reports. "He started working on it in spring training, but he didn't have the confidence in the pitch to feature it in big-league camp because he was trying to win a job," manager Ryne Sandberg said. Impact: The Phillies believe that Lincoln's four-seam fastball is too straight. Adding a two-seamer will give him a pitch that has some movement on it to prevent batters from squaring up so many balls.(RotoWire, )

News: Lincoln cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports. Impact: In order to free up a spot on the 25-man roster for Saturday's starter Jonathan Pettibone, Lincoln is heading to the minors. The move is warranted considering Lincoln's last outing Tuesday, when he served up a three-run homer to Ryan Braun during a two-inning appearance.(RotoWire, )

News: Lincoln's roster spot may be at risk, as the Phillies will need to demote a reliever this weekend if they recall Jonathan Pettibone to start Saturday's game, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Impact: Lincoln has pitched just twice in the Phillies' first eight games and has been limited to low-leverage work. He has no options remaining, so he'll need to clear waivers if the Phillies try to demote him. B.J. Rosenberg and Justin De Fratus are the other candidates to be sent down.(RotoWire, )
