News: Hicks went 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored in the win over the Rockies on Sunday. Impact: Hicks has now started six of the Giants' last nine games, hitting .333 with four runs and two RBI over that span. He is still ceding the occasional start at the keystone to Joaquin Arias and Ehire Adrianza, but he is the Giants' second baseman to own in deep leagues until Marco Scutaro (back) returns.(RotoWire, )

News: Hicks got the start at second for the third time in the Giants' last four games Tuesday. He went 0-for-3 with a walk in the win over Arizona. Impact: Hicks was a last-minute addition to the Opening Day roster once Marco Scutaro (back) was placed on the DL. He was thought to be a bench bat and reserve infielder against lefties, but he has now started three of the Giants' last four games, two of which were against righties. It seems that Hicks has played his way into a starting job at second until Scutaro returns. He offers decent pop (.192 career ISO) at a shallow position and deserves a look if this recent trend of playing time continues.(RotoWire, )
