News: Phillips hit a two-run home run, his first of the year, in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Mets. Impact: Phillips came through in the clutch Saturday, blasting a two-run shot to left field in the top of the eighth inning to give the Reds a 3-2 lead. It was all for naught, however, as J.J. Hoover quickly loaded the bases in the ninth and gave up a walkoff grand slam to Ike Davis. There were plenty of rumors in the offseason regarding Phillips' future in Cincinnati, but he's occupied the No. 2 hole in the lineup in all five games thus far and will likely remain there for the foreseeable future.(RotoWire, )
