News: Crisp is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rangers. Impact: Crisp has recently dealt with a hamstring injury and hurt his ribs earlier in the week before returning to the lineup Tuesday, so he'll receive a maintenance day for a day game after a night game. In spite of his health issues, Crisp has gotten off to a nice start this season with a .317 batting mark, two homers, and six stolen bases in 15 games.(RotoWire, )

News: Crisp (ribs) is in the lineup Tuesday versus the Rangers. Impact: Among Crisp's three hits Monday was a two-run single and two stolen bases, but he didn't come out of the game unscathed, either, hurting his ribs on a diving catch. News: Crisp had three hits on Monday night to raise his average to .324 and also stole two bases. Impact: Crisp also hurt his ribs a bit while attempting a diving catch in the outfield, but it does not appear to be serious. Coco's stolen bases are an excellent sign for fantasy owners, especially since he only had 21 in 2013. With six bags already in the first 14 games, he looks to be back to running like he did for the A's in 2011 and 2012 and when he had 49 and 39 steals, respectively.(RotoWire, )

News: Crisp has a little bit of a "ribcage thing" according to manager Bob Melvin, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Impact: Crisp hit his ribs hard while diving for a sinking liner Monday night. He reacted as if he hurt his right side after the play, but Crisp remained in the game and had multiple at-bats after the dive so the injury is likely minor. Consider him day-to-day until there is further information available.(RotoWire, )

News: Crisp is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Astros, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports. Impact: Crisp returned to the lineup Friday, after missing three starts with a hamstring injury, and it seems the A's just don't want to push him too hard, too soon and risk a setback. While Craig Gentry will man center and lead off Saturday, Crisp figures to be back for Sunday's series finale.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Apr 18, 2014

Wed. Apr 16, 2014
News: Crisp (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Wednesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Impact: It seems Crisp's hamstring didn't feel quite right during batting practice Wednesday, as he's out of the lineup for a third straight day. He did pinch hit in the 10th inning of Tuesday's game and the A's are off Thursday, but Crisp's status for Friday is far from certain.(RotoWire, )
Tue. Apr 15, 2014
News: Crisp (hamstring) will take batting practice again, and that will determine whether he will play Wednesday, the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports. Impact: According to manager Bob Melvin, Crisp is getting close to returning, despite being out of the lineup Tuesday. Crisp's owners should monitor his status before lineups lock Wednesday, and if he sits we'd expect Craig Gentry to once again start in center field.(RotoWire, )

News: Crisp (hamstring) is not in the A's lineup Tuesday, the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports. Impact: Craig Gentry will get the start in center field, as Crisp will get another day to rest his ailing hamstring. Consider him day-to-day for now.(RotoWire, )

News: Crisp (hamstring) took batting practice on the field before Monday's game, and manager Bob Melvin said the outfielder may be ready to play Tuesday, CSN Bay Area's Joe Stiglich reports. Impact: Crisp recently dealt with a sore wrist and is now bothered by a tight hamstring, but he may be available off the bench Monday, and remains day-to-day.(RotoWire, )
Mon. Apr 14, 2014
News: Crisp (hamstring) is out of the Athletics' lineup Monday at the Angels, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Impact: Crisp is handing over center field and the leadoff spot to Craig Gentry in order to rest his tight hamstring. The absence is a bit curious, though, due to the Angels trotting out a lefty in Hector Santiago, which wouldn't expose Crisp's left wrist to any stray pitches. Alas, consider Crisp day-to-day for now, while his body receives a much-needed respite.(RotoWire, )
Apr 13, 2014
News: Crisp is dealing with some hamstring tightness, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Impact: The report adds that Crisp was unlikely to play Monday against the Angels, in any case, with lefty Hector Santiago slated to take the hill against the A's. For now, the report suggests that the A's would prefer to have Crisp hold off on hitting right-handed after recently receiving a cortisone shot in his left wrist.(RotoWire, )

News: Crisp (wrist) is back in the lineup Saturday against the Mariners, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports. Impact: The wrist injury cost Crisp four starts, but he was used off the bench as a pinch hitter Friday and will slot back into his usual spots to face right-hander Erasmo Ramirez on Saturday. He's 0-for-7 with one strikeout and two walks against Ramirez so far in his career.(RotoWire, )

Wed. Apr 9, 2014
News: Manager Bob Melvin does not expect Crisp (wrist) to play until Friday at the earliest, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports. Impact: Crisp will not play Wednesday and will likely need at least one more day to recover after receiving a cortisone shot in his wrist Monday.
