News: Granderson is not in the lineup Thursday against the Cardinals, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports. Impact: Granderson broke out of a career-long, 0-for-22 slump with a base knock Wednesday, but he's still batting just .125 and could seemingly use a day off. Bobby Abreu will make his first start of the season in right field, as Daniel Murphy moves up to the two-hole in the batting order.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson's early-season woes continued Tuesday, as he went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout against the Cardinals. Impact: Grandy's gone without a hit for more than a week now, and his average now sits at an awful .116. He has three times as many strikeouts (24) as hits (eight) so far. Don't be surprised if manager Terry Collins finally sees fit to bench the $60 million man for a game to let him clear his head.(RotoWire, )

News: The struggling Granderson had another three strikeouts in a 2-0 win over St. Louis on Monday. Impact: Granderson is hitless in his last 19 at-bats and in a 4-for-47 slump that includes 17 strikeouts.(STATS, 12:12pm)

News: Granderson has been moved from the cleanup spot to second in the order Sunday against the Braves. Impact: As manager Terry Collins suggested a day earlier, Granderson will be dropped from a premium spot in the order due to his struggles in the power department this season. He's totaled just five extra-base hits in his first season in Queens and is batting a horrendous .140 over 57 at-bats. Daniel Murphy will bat cleanup Sunday, while Collins hopes the change revitalizes Granderson's dormant bat.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson's early-season struggles continued Saturday, as he went 0-for-5 and stranded six runners, and he'll likely be moved out of the cleanup spot, ESPN New York reports. Impact: If Granderson is moved, look for Lucas Duda to slide up to that spot and Granderson to hit sixth. Maybe that will be the cure to get Granderson's moribund bat going.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson (forearm/ribs/knee) is in the lineup as expected Friday, ESPN New York reports. Impact: Granderson pinch-hit Wednesday and felt he would be able to start Friday. That is the case, as Granderson is in right field, batting cleanup against the Braves.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson (forearm/ribs/knee) grounded out as a pinch-hitter in the Mets' win over Arizona on Wednesday. Impact: It's expected that Granderson will be ready to roll Friday against the Braves, and his appearance in Wednesday's game is a step in that direction as the Mets wouldn't have used him in that role if there was any concern of a prolonged absence.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson (forearm/ribs/knee) is expected to return to the Mets' lineup Friday against the Braves, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Impact: Granderson sustained his array of ailments in a crash into the outfield wall Monday, requiring the requisite few days of rest. Prior to the misstep, he had a four-game hitting streak in hand, during which he hit .267 (4-for-15) with one double, one RBI, and two runs scored. Expect Andrew Brown to handle right field in the interim.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson (forearm/ribs/knee) is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com reports. Impact: It makes sense that Granderson would get at least one day off, after suffering injuries to his forearm, ribs and knee in a collision with the outfield wall Monday, but he is currently expected to avoid the DL. Granderson will try to test himself with some light batting practice prior to Tuesday's game.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson (forearm/ribs/knee) will avoid the disabled list for now, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post. Impact: The Mets' lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona has not been released yet, but Granderson's name figures to remain on the lineup card as an option off the bench, even if he's unable to start. His teammate Juan Lagares appears to be headed for a DL stint, however.(RotoWire, )

News: X-rays were negative on Granderson's injured left forearm, rib cage and knee following his departure from Monday's game in Arizona, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York. Impact: Granderson crashed into an outfield wall and lost, though it sounds like he may just have some scrapes and bruises. The day after merits watching, but for now it looks like Granderson may have escaped serious injury. Assuming nothing substantial develops, we'll see if the team gives him a day or two off ahead of Thursday's team off-day.(RotoWire, )

News: Granderson, who crashed into the outfield wall early in Monday's game, was later removed from the contest in the sixth inning, MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reports. Impact: Granderson was reportedly grabbing his wrist after crashing into the wall, and his removal later on came when the game was within three runs. He was almost certainly taken out as a result of the injury, yet still managed to get an RBI single between the time he was injured and left. With Juan Lagares also exiting Monday's game with an injury -- likely to his hamstring -- the Mets may not have such a crowd in the outfield once Chris Young (quad) returns. That could be good news for owners of Eric Young, Chris Young, and Andrew Brown, but Granderson is above the mess.(RotoWire, )
