News: Hale will be skipped in the rotation this time through. Impact: Hale was scheduled to start Tuesday, but that game has been postponed due to inclement weather and the two teams are expected to make it up in a later series. Atlanta's going to keep Julio Teheran and Alex Wood on schedule rather than push them back, so Hale will be available out of the bullpen the next two days.(RotoWire, )

News: Hale gave up five hits and two walks, while striking out four over five innings, but did not factor into the decision in the Braves' 2-1 win over the Nationals on Friday. Impact: Hale, who narrowly edged Gus Schlosser for the Braves' No. 4 rotation spot in spring training, turned in a strong performance overall in his 2014 debut. The right-hander got into a bit of trouble in the fourth inning, but Adam LaRoche was thrown out trying to go from first to home on a Ryan Zimmerman double, and it was pretty much smooth sailing otherwise. He is expected to remain in the rotation when Ervin Santana slots in next week, but once Mike Minor (shoulder) and Gavin Floyd (elbow) are ready, Hale will likely transition to the bullpen.(RotoWire, )
