News: Span (concussion) returned to the leadoff spot Saturday and went 2-for-5. Impact: He had been in a 3-for-24 mini-slump prior to landing on the 7-day DL, so it's good to see Span hit the ground running at the plate now that he's back. With just one steal in one attempt through his first 11 games though, his owners would prefer to see him a little more active on the basepaths as well.(RotoWire, )

News: Span (concussion) will take batting practice on the field Monday, followed by rest and a consultation with a doctor, James Wagner of The Washington Post reports. Impact: Span feels much better since suffering a concussion last Friday, but he will likely wait to be cleared of symptoms before resuming full baseball activities, although taking BP is a step in the right direction. He's eligible to return from the 7-day concussion DL on April 18.(RotoWire, )

News: Span (concussion) "feels much better," but agrees that it was for the best for him to be placed on the 7-day concussion DL,'s William Ladson reports. Impact: Span continues to experience lingering concussion symptoms following Friday's collision with Dan Uggla. Nate McLouth took over in center field in Sunday's lineup, with Bryce Harper in left and Jayson Werth in right, and we would expect something similar to this for the remainder of Span's absence. Utility infielder Kevin Frandsen, along with recent callup Steven Souza, may also come into the mix.(RotoWire, )
