News: Stubbs went 3-for-5 with three runs scored in Friday's 12-1 win over the Phillies. Impact: Stubbs started in center field and batted second with Michael Cuddyer (hamstring) out of Friday's lineup, but the injury is believed to be minor and may not result in increased at-bats for Stubbs. If Cuddyer were to hit a setback in his recovery and ultimately require a DL stint, Stubbs would be of immediate interest in NL-only and deeper leagues due to his combination of power and speed, not to mention the friendly hitting environs presented by Coors Field.(RotoWire, )

News: Stubbs is not in the lineup for Monday's game against left-handed starting pitcher Eric Stults and the Padres, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports. Impact: Charlie Blackmon has been starting in center field against all right-handers and some lefties, leaving Stubbs with just 10 at-bats over the last eight games. With Corey Dickerson called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday, the competition isn't getting any easier. Still, Stubbs may get the chance to work his way into the lesser half of a platoon once Blackmon inevitably cools off.(RotoWire, )

News: Stubbs had an RBI pinch hit single in Sunday's loss to the Giants. Impact: Stubbs was inserted in place of Charlie Blackmon when the Giants brought in lefty specialist Javy Lopez. Hitting lefties well is his path to getting any starts, as Blackmon is starting against all right-handed starters and some lefties.(RotoWire, )
