News: Stubbs is not in the lineup for Monday's game against left-handed starting pitcher Eric Stults and the Padres, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports. Impact: Charlie Blackmon has been starting in center field against all right-handers and some lefties, leaving Stubbs with just 10 at-bats over the last eight games. With Corey Dickerson called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday, the competition isn't getting any easier. Still, Stubbs may get the chance to work his way into the lesser half of a platoon once Blackmon inevitably cools off.(RotoWire, )

News: Stubbs had an RBI pinch hit single in Sunday's loss to the Giants. Impact: Stubbs was inserted in place of Charlie Blackmon when the Giants brought in lefty specialist Javy Lopez. Hitting lefties well is his path to getting any starts, as Blackmon is starting against all right-handed starters and some lefties.(RotoWire, )

News: Stubbs went hitless in five at-bats Tuesday against the Marlins. Impact: Slotted into the leadoff hole Tuesday, Stubbs certainly didn't make the strong impression he needed to gain separation from Charlie Blackmon, Corey Dickerson and Brandon Barnes in the starting center field competition. Expect manager Walt Weiss to continue rotating each outfielder into the lineup periodically while he looks to generate more production from the top of the order.(RotoWire, )

News: Stubbs will get the nod in center field and bat leadoff during Tuesday's game in Miami. Impact: A revolving door in center will characterize the Rockies' lineup in the early going this season. Stubbs is following up Charlie Blackmon's Opening Day nod, which is a surprise call considering the former is expected to face primarily lefties. Nevertheless, Stubbs supplied an impressive .354/.415/.521 line with three RBI, 11 runs scored, and one steal in 48 Cactus League at-bats.(RotoWire, )
