News: Chavez will get the start at designated hitter and bat seventh on Friday, the Yankees' official Twitter reports. Impact: Friday will mark Chavez's fifth start in eight games since returning from a concussion. News: Chavez was activated from the disabled list by the New York Yankees and was in the starting lineup at designated hitter for Friday night's series opener against the Seattle Mariners. Impact: Chavez had been on the seven-day concussion DL since May 3. He was hurt a day earlier diving for a double down the third-base line by Baltimore's J.J. Hardy.
