News: Johnson gave up just one run on three hits with two walks in 6.2 innings, while striking out a career-high nine against the Red Sox on Tuesday. Impact: This was a very surprising performance from Johnson, who struggled mightily in his first two starts, and was up against the World Champion Red Sox, no less. He had a 9.58 ERA before Tuesday's outing, so it's anyone's guess what he'll do Sunday in Texas.(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson was horrendous Friday in Kansas City. Impact: Johnson retired only 14 of the 28 batters he faced, yielding seven runs on 10 hits, three walks and a hit batter to take the loss. "The biggest thing is that I've got to compete better for my team," Johnson said(STATS, 5:33pm)

News: Johnson gave up seven runs on 10 hits and three walks with two strikeouts against the Royals on Friday. Impact: Johnson missed very few bats in this one, as the Royals made plenty of contact, and solid contact at that. Kansas City put up four runs over the first two innings and finally chased him with two outs in the fifth, after putting another three-spot on the board and forcing the rookie into 98 pitches at that point. This outing really isn't indicative of Johnson's abilities, so perhaps this outing can be chalked up to first-start jitters. However, with his next start on the road in Colorado, you'll want to keep him on the bench and maybe leave him there until he starts to string together a couple of solid outings.(RotoWire, )
