News: Hernandez pitched a strong seven-plus innings Friday against the A's with 11 strikeouts, no walks and four hits allowed, giving up only two runs thanks to a leaky bullpen to move to 3-0. Impact: Hernandez retired the first 10 batters and gave up only one hard hit, a double. He came out for the eighth inning despite being at 100 pitches but was pulled after a hit batter and a single.
