News: Liriano is getting another shot in the Minnesota Twins' muddled starting rotation. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire announced Saturday that the left-hander is moving out of the bullpen and will start Wednesday against Oakland. Impact: Liriano was demoted to the bullpen May 9 after going 0-5 with a 9.45 ERA in six starts. The Twins are hoping Liriano's time in the bullpen helped him to clear his head. They need the lefty in the rotation to take the place of Anthony Swarzak, who gave up six runs in 3 2-3 innings Friday night against Detroit.(STATS, 12:43pm)

News: Liriano will rejoin the Twins' rotation Wednesday against the A's, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports. Impact: Liriano made five appearances out of the bullpen for the Twins, and while he walked seven batters over 7.1 innings and gave up four earned runs in 2.2 innings his last time out, the Twins will give him the opportunity to work as a starter again. Liriano owns an unimpressive 30:26 K:BB ratio in 34 innings this season, so while he will be starting again, don't count on him for much more than the innings at this point.(RotoWire, )

News: Liriano gave up four runs off five hits and two walks while striking out three during the Twins' loss to the Tigers on Friday. Impact: This was Liriano's fifth appearance out of the pen and, by far, his worst effort. The Twins were hoping that he would be able to rebuild his confidence with some time in relief, but after this outing and five walks in the previous 4.2 innings, it looks like he is a long way from rejoining the rotation.(RotoWire, )
