News: Bailey gave up five runs on eight hits over five innings Monday against the Pirates, striking out nine and walking none. The game was tied after six innings before getting suspended due to a rainstorm, but Bailey will leave with a no-decision regardless. Impact: Bailey gave up a whopping four homers, giving up the lead multiple times. So far there have been 10 homers between the two teams in the game. "It seemed like everything they hit went out -- anything up in the air left the yard," Bailey said. "Don't get me wrong, there were a few of them that were just terrible pitches that they hit really good. Some of them were ... you have 10 home runs in one night, I don't think it's just bad pitching. I didn't walk anybody, I punched out nine over five innings. It's one of those tough ones to look at as what all did I do wrong, there were a lot of things we did right. It was just a weird night."(RotoWire, )

News: Bailey did not get a decision Tuesday. Impact: Bailey has permitted eight runs on 16 hits and five walks in 9 1-3 innings after he had a poor five-inning stint. It may be worth cutting him loose now before things get even worse.(STATS, 5:27pm)

News: Despite being spotted an early four-run lead Tuesday, Bailey was blasted by the Cards, allowing nine hits and four earned runs over five innings. He also walked two. Impact: Bailey's five strikeouts were the lone bright spot in his no-decision against St. Louis. The bulk of the damage was done in the second, as the Cards knocked Bailey around for five hits, tying the game in the process. The big righty has now given up an alarmingly high 16 hits in 9.1 innings of work to start the season, and will need to drastically improve his stuff if he hopes to move up from the third spot in the Reds' rotation. He's scheduled to toe the rubber again at home this weekend in an interleague tilt with the Rays - a team he has never faced in his seven years as a big leaguer.(RotoWire, )

News: Bailey allowed four runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings in his season debut Thursday against the Cardinals. He struck out three and walked three. Impact: An ugly start for Bailey, who's coming off the best season of his career last year, but had troubles with a groin injury this spring. He's slated to draw the Cardinals again his next time out -- this time in St. Louis.(RotoWire, )

News: Bailey (groin) is set to start Thursday against the Cardinals, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Impact: Assuming Thursday's game is played -- it's unlikely to start on time due to rain -- it will be Bailey toeing the rubber for Cincinnati. The right-hander was delayed significantly by a groin injury in spring training, but threw 76 pitches in a minor league game Monday and appears to have turned the page on the injury. Bailey's likely anxious to justify the $105 million extension he signed in February.(RotoWire, )
