News: DavisDavis, who went 0-for-4 with a pair of walks as the first baseman Saturday, is out of the lineup Sunday with C.J. Wilson on the hill, ESPN New York reports. Impact: With a lefty going, the Mets have opted to load their lineup with mainly righties, with Daniel Murphy and Curtis Granderson the only left-handed hitters starting. The Mets are next headed to Arizona and obviously no DH, so Davis may only see pinch-hitting duty in that series.(RotoWire, )

News: Davis will start at first base on Thursday, Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com reports. Impact: Davis has been used as a pinch hitter in the Mets' previous two contests, but will get his turn at first base Thursday against the Braves. News: Davis hit a game-ending grand slam and the New York Mets were aided by a favorable ninth-inning replay review in rallying to beat the Cincinnati Reds 6-3 on Saturday. Impact: Davis, having lost his starting first base job to Lucas Duda a day earlier, was called on to hit in the pitcher's spot and lined a 0-1 pitch to right field, setting off a gleeful celebration at Citi Field.(STATS, 1:53pm)

News: Davis, who delivered a pinch-hit walk-off grand slam Saturday, will start Sunday at first base, but manager Terry Collins said the job still belongs to Lucas Duda, ESPN.com reports. Impact: Duda has made three consecutive starts at first base. "I had already planned on having Ike playing Sunday anyway," Collins said. "When I talked to him the other day, I said, 'Listen, you're going to play Sunday. So even though it may not be an everyday thing, you're going to get playing time.'"(RotoWire, )

News: Davis hit a pinch-hit, walkoff grand slam in Saturday's win over the Reds. Impact: Davis was passed over for the start at first base in favor of Lucas Duda yet again, but the former made the most of his opportunity Saturday, blasting a no-doubter off J.J. Hoover to win it for the Mets. It will buy Davis some leeway with the fans, but manager Terry Collins seems set on giving Duda a full-time audition at first.(RotoWire, )

News: Lucas Duda, not Davis, will start at first base Friday, Andy Martino of the New York Daily News reports. Impact: Manager Terry Collins said after Thursday's game that he will choose a first baseman and stick with him for a bit, and while the Mets have yet to confirm, it seems Duda is the choice over Davis and Josh Satin. Duda owns a .341 career OBP and has some pop, but if he falters in his audition, there's a chance the team could turn to Davis. His future with the team is far from assured, however.(RotoWire, )

News: Manager Terry Collins said after Thursday's game he will choose a first baseman Friday and stick with him for a bit, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. Impact: Collins has not given any sort of indication as to who is the favorite for the role between Davis, Lucas Duda and Josh Satin, though the likelihood is that it will either be Davis or Duda.(RotoWire, )
