News: Arrieta was banged around for a second straight start, allowing seven runs (six earned) on six hits, walking three and striking out five over 4.1 innings of work Tuesday night. Impact: Starts against AL East opponents in his last two (Boston and Toronto) have led to 11 runs (10 earned) in just 10 innings and ballooned his ERA up to a disturbing 5.37 on the year. He flashes great stuff at times, but he has been very inconsistent. He will try to get back on track when he takes on Boston again in his next outing.(RotoWire, )

News: Arrieta (2-5) gave up four runs on eight hits with three walks and two strikeouts in 5.2 innings Wednesday against the Red Sox. Impact: Not the young hurler's finest work, as he failed to build on a terrific start his last time out against the Nationals.(RotoWire, )

News: Arrieta didn't earn a decision Friday against Washington, but pitched well in an 11-inning victory. Impact: After allowing 13 runs the previous two starts, Arrieta gave up one run in seven innings Friday, striking out nine. He's done this before, however, and has gone out and laid an egg the next time out.(STATS, 1:37pm)

News: Arrieta held the Nationals to one run in seven innings with nine strikeouts in Friday's win. Impact: Although Arrieta did not receive the decision, he was dominant throughout the game. It was a drastic turnaround from his last two starts. He has the ability to turn in some good starts, but consistency is a big issue.(RotoWire, )
