News: Werth (groin) is back in the Nationals' starting lineup Sunday, playing right field and batting third. Impact: The injured groin limited Werth to just a pinch-hit appearance in Saturday's game, but it does not seem to be too serious, as he will be back to regular duty Sunday afternoon. This is surely a welcome development for the suddenly injury-plagued Nationals.(RotoWire, )

News: Werth (groin) picked up a pinch-hit single in Saturday's loss to the Braves. Impact: That's a great sign that the groin strain is a minor one and that Werth shouldn't be sidelined for too long. The Nationals don't get a day off until April 28 though, so expect manager Matt Williams to be cautious with his right fielder over the next couple of weeks, especially with Ryan Zimmerman now out for at least a month with a broken thumb.(RotoWire, )

News: Werth isn't in the Nationals' lineup Saturday in Atlanta due to a tight left groin. Impact: Werth sustained the ailment late in Friday's game, but not before extending his hitting to five contests. In his first absence of the season, he'll hand over right field to Nate McLouth, who is slotting into the two-hole.(RotoWire, )

Impact: Werth left this contest in the later innings after going 1-for-5 with a run scored. The extent of his groin injury is yet to be determined, but losing the veteran outfielder for any extended period would be a significant blow. News: Werth hit a go-ahead grand slam in the eighth inning off Carlos Marmol after Bryce Harper's upper-deck, three-run homer started a comeback from an early deficit, and the Washington Nationals beat the Miami Marlins 10-7 Wednesday night. Impact: Werth and Harper each delivered his first homer of the season as Washington overcame deficits of 5-0 and 7-6 in a topsy-turvy game. Werth's shot off Marmol (0-1) came with one out, after the reliever allowed a single, hit a batter, then intentionally walked Anthony Rendon to load the bases. Werth finished with five RBIs after driving in one run in his first seven games.(STATS, 6:28pm)

News: Werth was 1-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI in Wednesday's victory over the Marlins. Impact: Werth came up big in front of his home crowd, blasting the go-ahead grand slam in the bottom of the eighth. Despite a solid .345 average to start the season, he only had one RBI prior to Wednesday, and the long ball he hit was his first of the season. Werth should continue to see plenty of opportunities to drive in runs hitting third in the Nationals' lineup.(RotoWire, )
