News: Mejia's (blister) availability for his next start will be known after he attempts to throw Friday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Impact: It's unclear if the disabled list is a consideration, or merely if a few extra days of rest will be required, but manager Terry Collins relayed to Anthony DiComo of after Tuesday's nod that Mejia had "one hell of a blister." Despite the ailment, Mejia still managed to blank the Diamondbacks across five innings with three strikeouts and two walks, marking his second victory of the season.(RotoWire, )

News: Mejia tossed five innings of two-hit, shutout ball en route to handing the D-Backs their league-worst 10th home loss by a score of 9-0 on Tuesday. Impact: So far, so good this year for the third-year big leaguer, whose three K's against Arizona brought his total to 18 on the season - just nine shy of his career high. He showed an improvement in his command (two walks) in this one too, after previously allowing nine free passes over his last two outings. Mejia is now 2-0 with a 2.81 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through 16 innings, and could very well find himself ascending up the Mets' rotation from the fifth spot if he continues to pitch well.(RotoWire, )

News: Mejia (ankle) will start Thursday against the Braves, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Impact: Mejia was hit in the right ankle by a comebacker in his 2014 debut, but never appeared to be in real danger of missing Thursday's start. The right-hander fanned eight and gave up just one run over six innings against the Reds last Friday, but did walk five. He'll draw a Braves team Thursday has walked just 14 times so far this season, the lowest total in the majors.(RotoWire, )

News: Mejia (ankle) allowed four runs and six hits over five innings to record a no-decision at Atlanta on Thursday. He issued four walks and struck out seven. Most of the damage he allowed came on a pair of homers by Justin Upton. Impact: After a strong first start, Mejia wasn't as effective Thursday. On a positive note, his ankle doesn't appear to be a major issue after he was hit by a comebacker in his season debut. He's an interesting option in many formats because of his ability to generate ground-ball outs as well as strikeouts, but the walks are already a problem (nine free passes in 11 innings).(RotoWire, )

News: Lucas Duda hit a pair of two-run homers to back Mejia's strong season debut, a 4-3 win over Cincinnati on Friday night. Impact: The 24-year-old Mejia (1-0), who beat out Daisuke Matsuzaka for the final spot in the rotation, struck out a career-high eight in six innings. Flashing a sharp breaking ball, he allowed one run and four hits in a steady rain and mist.(STATS, 6:31pm)

News: Mejia (ankle) ran Saturday morning without issue and appears to be fine, according to manager Terry Collins, ESPN New York reports. "That was a good indication nothing's wrong," Collins said. Impact: In his 2014 debut Friday, Mejia held the Reds to one run on four hits and five walks, while striking out eight over six innings, but he was hit in the right ankle by a comebacker. Fortunately, it seems that he escaped without any sort of significant injury, as he's already penciled in to take on the Braves next Thursday.(RotoWire, )

News: Mejia (forearm) will start Friday against the Reds, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. Impact: It was expected that Mejia would handle the fifth-starter duties to begin the season, but a minor forearm issues following a comebacker that hit his pitching arm in an exhibition last week put that role in pencil rather than ink.(RotoWire, )

News: Mejia turned in a solid performance, allowing just one run on four hits, while walking five and striking out eight over six innings of a 4-3 win against the Reds on Friday night. Impact: He won the fifth starter job in spring training, and other than the five free passes, this effort should help solidify his claim to the role. He'll get the Braves in Atlanta next time out.(RotoWire, )
