News: Guthrie didn't have his best stuff Wednesday night, but came away with a no-decision, allowing six hits, four runs (all earned) and two walks with four strikeouts. Impact: Guthrie has received more run support than any other Royals' starter, which helps explain the 2-0 start despite a 4.34 ERA. He's not much of a strikeout pitcher, but there's still some utility to find here if fantasy owners use him in the right matchups. He'll take the mound against the Indians in Cleveland next time out.(RotoWire, )

News: Guthrie improved to 2-0 on Wednesday, yielding a run and four hits in seven frames. Impact: The right-hander, who turned 35 on Tuesday, was coming off a rough start against the White Sox. But Guthrie navigated trouble in each of the first three innings, leaving five Rays on base, and then retired his final 12 batters to hand a 7-1 lead to his bullpen.(STATS, 3:38pm)

News: Guthrie earned the win Wednesday, giving up four hits, one walk and an earned run with four strikeouts over seven innings of work. Impact: Guthrie walked just one batter on Wednesday, which is a noticeable improvement in his command from the four walks he surrendered his last time out. He doesn't have the overpowering stuff to be a major fantasy asset, but he'll eat up innings and should see plenty of opportunities for wins due to a blossoming Royals' offense. He'll take the mound against the Astros in his next time out.(RotoWire, )

News: Guthrie got the win Friday but did not pitch well, blaming the wind and odd weather. Impact: Guthrie allowed four runs on seven hits, four walks and a hit batter in 5 2-3 innings. "It was just windy," Guthrie said. "It was never really cold. The grip is not perfect in conditions like that, but ... we're fortunate enough that we're moving around every play, so we stay pretty warm."(STATS, 5:36pm)
