News: Hellickson (elbow) is schedule to throw off a mound Tuesday for the first time since his surgery, the Tampa Tribune reports. Impact: Hellickson has spent the spring in the early stages of his rehab program, performing workouts mostly composed of long toss and regular catch. He's now ready to progress to the mound, which is an important milestone, as it will be the first time he's thrown from a mound since his Jan. 28 surgery. Should Hellickson continue moving forward without any setbacks, he should return to the mound in early June. This is the first good pitching-related news to come out of the Rays' camp in a while, as Alex Cobb (oblique) and Matt Moore (elbow) currently sit on the DL nursing injuries, both of which have projected timetables greater than the 15 days allotted by their designation. Hellickson's reincorporation to the rotation will definitely play a role in getting their pitching staff back on track.(RotoWire, )
