| News: Hester went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs against Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday. | Impact: Hester is batting just .246 on the year and these were his first long balls of the season. But while he may not be doing anything special right now, the Angels catchers have combined for just a .206/.309/.357 slash line through the first 38 games of the season. If Hester can play sound defense and get hot at the plate, there's no reason to think the Angels couldn't re-think their backup catcher situation and give Hester a shot. The chances are probably remote, but we've seen Mike Scioscia do stranger things.(RotoWire, ) |
