News: Lyles will remain in the rotation until further notice, making his next start Monday against the Padres, Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports. Impact: Lyles was only expected to make two starts as a replacement for the injured Tyler Chatwood, but he'll stay in the rotation after pitching even better than the team expected, particularly in his most recent outing against the White Sox on Monday. Making his first start of the season at Coors Field, he scattered five hits and two walks over 6.2 innings to pick up the victory. The decision to keep Lyles in the rotation was also made easier by the struggles of No. 5 starter Franklin Morales, who has been banished to the bullpen after giving up nine runs on 16 hits and six walks over his first two starts.(RotoWire, )

News: Lyles struck out four batters and gave up one run over 6.2 innings to pick up his second win of the season Monday against the White Sox. Impact: Lyles not only pitched well but surprisingly went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI. While he's off to a decent start and has won both of his outings, it's hard to get too excited, given both his past struggles and the reality that he's probably not long for the rotation. Tyler Chatwood (hamstring) is expected to be ready for April 13 against the Giants, but Lyles would likely get the nod that day if something were to go wrong with Chatwood.(RotoWire, )
