News: Ruggiano could be called up by the Marlins before Sunday's game, the team's website reports. Impact: He would give Miami a right-handed hitting option in left field, and a platoon with Chris Coghlan seems likely in that case. Ruggiano would likely only stick around until Austin Kearns comes off the DL, however.(RotoWire, )

News: The Astros traded Ruggiano to the Marlins on Saturday in exchange for minor league catcher Jobduan Morales, according to the Astros' official Twitter page. Impact: Ruggiano put up some nice numbers with Triple-A Oklahoma City, hitting .325 with five home runs and 29 RBI in 39 games. He will report to Triple-A New Orleans, but if his bat stays hot, he could earn a call to Miami with the Marlins' outfield depleted by injuries.(RotoWire, )
