News: The Royals activated Coleman (finger) from the disabled list Wednesday. Impact: Coleman will return to the Royals after throwing a bullpen session Monday without issue. Coleman dazzled in 27 appearances with the Royals last season, giving up just two earned runs and posting a 32:6 K:BB ratio over 29.2 innings, so he will likely slot into a middle relief/setup role now that he is healthy.(RotoWire, )

News: Coleman (finger) will throw a bullpen session Monday, and could be activated from the DL on Tuesday if all goes well, Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star reports. Impact: Coleman increased the intensity of his bullpen session last Wednesday, suggesting that he's been doing well recovering from the bone bruise on his finger. The Royals placed both Francisely Bueno (finger) and Tim Collins (elbow) on the 15-day DL Monday, so the need for bullpen depth is certainly there. Coleman has a solid track record over three seasons with the Royals, so he should see a few opportunities to earn some holds once he's activated.(RotoWire, )
