News: Capps recorded a tense save on Monday, allowing two walks before retiring the A's without any damage in 5-4 win. Impact: Capps has only blown one save in eleven opportunities, but his ten strikeouts in 17 innings does not bode particularly well. Capps is a candidate to potentially implode at some point, and might be worthy of selling high if you can find another player to match his save totals.(RotoWire, )

News: Capps blew his first save of the season Sunday against the Tigers, allowing a two-run home run to Miguel Cabrera. Impact: Capps has been thriving on pinpoint control this season (0.5 BB/9), but when you allow as much contact as he does (just 4.5 K/9), eventually somebody will run into one. Sunday, it was Miguel Cabrera. It was Capps' third home run allowed in 18 innings, a rate that doesn't bode well for his future as closer.(RotoWire, )

News: Capps (arm) threw a scoreless ninth inning to record his eighth save in Thursday's win over Detroit. Impact: Capps has surprisingly converted all eight of his save chances this season. Entering the year, he seemed like one of the weaker closers in baseball on the heels of his struggles last season. Capps was unavailable to pitch Wednesday due to a sore arm, but it sounds like his ailment was just normal soreness due to pitching frequently in the last week than an injury to get worried about.(RotoWire, )

News: Capps did not warm up for a possible save situation Wednesday due to a sore arm. "He had thrown like four days in a row and had a little soreness in his arm a couple of days ago. He was fine tonight but we were not going to use him, and we worked our way through it as best we could," manager Ron Gardenhire told ESPN 1500 am Twin Cities. Impact: Glen Perkins was used in the ninth inning in what became a non-save situation after the Twins scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning. It sounds like Capps needed just a day of rest rather than this being an injury, but watch his status.(RotoWire, )
