News: Lindstrom earned his third save of the season after throwing a scoreless ninth against the Tigers on Wednesday. Impact: It wasn't pretty, but he got the job done. He allowed the Tigers to place runners at second and third with two out in a two-run game, and it took a liner to first base to end it. He now owns as many saves (three) as strikeouts (three), but his hold on the closer role is much stronger today than it was two weeks ago.(RotoWire, )

News: Lindstrom earned his second save of the season Monday after throwing a scoreless inning against the Tigers. Impact: He allowed a one-out double to Alex Avila, which was quickly followed by a walk, but he was able to render both baserunners moot. The save was Lindstrom's first since Opening Day, and it looks like he might finally be righting the ship after a string of uninspiring appearances. Lindstrom has still only struck out three over nine innings, but he retains a strong enough hold on the closer role.(RotoWire, )

News: Lindstrom was credited with a blown save against the Red Sox on Wednesday despite limiting them to one hit over two scoreless innings. Impact: He entered the game in a bad situation in the ninth after Maikel Cleto walked two batters without recording an out. Lindstrom only allowed a bloop infield single and sac fly, but that was enough to allow one of those inherited runners to score. Manager Robin Ventura emptied the bullpen in the 14-inning loss, and Lindstrom was the only guy not to issue a walk. Ventura gave Lindstrom a vote of confidence earlier in the day, and the lack of other appealing options in the White Sox 'pen means he should hold onto the closer role for a bit longer.(RotoWire, )

News: Lindstrom blew the save against the Indians on Sunday after surrendering two unearned runs in the top of the ninth. Impact: He wound up with the win after Alexei Ramirez hit a two-run home run in the bottom half of the inning, but it must not make us feel any better seeing Lindstrom blow his second save in three tries (to go with a few unimpressive non-save opportunities). Still, the other healthy in-house options for the ninth inning have been similarly unimpressive through the season's first few weeks, so the job remains in Lindstrom's hands.(RotoWire, )

News: Lindstrom tossed a clean ninth inning during Thursday's non-save situation against Cleveland. Impact: Lindstrom has struggled a bit this year, so this was a much needed outing. If he can string together a bunch of quality appearances, he could really put a stranglehold on the job, as there aren't any other experienced closers on the roster.(RotoWire, )
