News: Dunn took the loss Wednesday, allowing two runs on one hit and a walk without recording an out against the Nationals. Impact: He entered the game in the top of the eight and was promptly greeted with a Zach Walters pinch-hit home run. Dunn then walked Nate McLouth -- who would later come around to score -- before being lifted from the game. Dunn was saddled with his second loss in as many appearances and has allowed runs in four of his seven relief stints so far this season. Opposing hitters are batting .346 against the lefty reliever in his first 5.2 innings pitched, leading to an ugly 9.53 ERA and 2.12 WHIP. Previously mentioned by Manager Mike Redmond as an option to close if Steve Cishek were out, Dunn has rapidly slipped down the bullpen ladder with his early struggles.(RotoWire, )
